Currently 64% of individuals experiencing homelessness have a substance use disorder (SUD). This demonstrates to us the likelihood  that individuals suffering from SUD are to experience homelessness at some point. When addressing homelessness in the state of Minnesota, there are many factors involved. From shelters to affordable housing, and incorporating recovery and mental health resources – we must meet this crisis on all fronts. With this in mind, we recently created a resource for affordable mental health resources, updated consistently, that you can access here at any time. Additionally, we’ve compiled some affordable housing resources that anyone can utilize – keep reading to learn more!

There are currently over 7,200 people in the state of Minnesota who are experiencing homelessness on any given night. Even more troubling, around half are people in families.
